Its the same with christmas, before it was known as xmas it was the winter solstice a celebration to raise spirits before the dark winter ahead.

So, kind of like letting black people go to colleges where only black people go, and just calling it something else? I mean they are still going to college right, so what is the difference? Those black people don't care, and what they want isn't what is important. It is how we feel about them going to college and what we want to call it that matters, right?

have you read this at all? Theres civil unions and that was banned as well.
Also the word "marriage" is required for things like insurance and various other things. Thats why the word marriage is needed.

however my faith is losing another part of what it has fought to hold onto

We all know how well "separate but equal" works.
Honestly, I don't care what they call it at this point. "Male buggery anti-Christian union not endorsed by the church" works for me at this point. Above all, these people need some legal protection just like the rest of us. Titles and whatnot can be dealt with down the road.

no other religions have the practice, but heres the catch the homosexual community inst really fighting for marriage rights from other religions they are targeting the christian faiths in this nation and many of them want teh state to side with them so they can have a regular church wedding
