Dead Space: Downfall is an Anime based prequel to the 1 new thread a day worthy title Dead Space. I rented and watched it today. Overall the good is the gore, if you are into that sort of stuff. The bad is pretty much everything else. The animation was pretty poor, it seemed as if there were some frames of animation missing, making a lot of the movement seem broken. I didnt like the voice acting, the protagonist was pretty good, but it seemed a lot of the voice cast was there just for a check. The story was extremely thin and I havent played the game but I cant imagine it adding much to it. Overall I dont even think its worth a rent, even the die hard DS fan will not get much more in terms of story completion. If you like gory anime, its for you.
