I just made this thread to complement Megaman's, almost in a joking way. I do, however, still believe it will score better, because personally it seems Gears has made a big jump from the original, something that others don't share with me in their opinions. The combat seems to be more orientated on the large-scale battles than the original, which usually had at most ten men in a certain are to fight. I'm not saying Resistance 2 didn't also get big changes, I'm just saying IMO Gears 2 changed a lot too.

scale? resistance 2 is the definition of scale and if you've seen the first resistance you'll see the gigantic differenc between 1 and 2. they both are awesome and are improving on each others predeccesors by a huge amount. i think they'l both get the same and manybe gears more cuz its being marketted alot more by microsoft

Well, all the talk of gears 2 been labelled gears 1.5 has diminished, Proof that this is a true E.P.I.C. sequel.

The amount of marketing does not affect Metacritic score, so If Gears 2 does take the edge, it won't be from that. Neither will being bribed by Microsoft or Epic, which is completely against the ethical code of these major game reviewers.

You might be right.....

Resistance 2 is technically superior, thanks to the incredible characteristics on-line

8 players co-op
60 players on-line

and number of enemies on the screen.

But unfortunately, 70% of the Web and magazines are pro-MS.

For this reason, I am not surprised if Gears of War DLC (called Gears of War 2) will have a high score.

My vote for Gears of War 2 does not go over 8,5.
My vote for Resistance 2 is a full 9.5.
