Weapon specific executions alone seals a Gears of war 2 win for me.
I like the feature of the higher metacritic score because: "If IGN scores are tied, metacritic will be used to determine the winner of the bet and the losers will have their avatars changed for a month"
Tease.

The IGN tie was a perfect set up for whats going to be a very tense 2-3 weeks of reviews coming up for all concerned.
i prefer R2 mainly due the multiplayer and online.
it's just better.
graphic wise Gears 2 hand down.
@squilliam - R2 Co op is better. fact.

You posted this 20 minutes ago and make another thread comparing the two? The only feature set I care about is fun. I played the R2 beta and I found the co-op fun but the multiplayer lacking. Based on the original 2 games I also found the Gears campaign much more fun the the Resistance 1 campaign. I actually cancelled my R2 reserve since I've gotten a backlog of games now but will probably re-purchase it for the co-op campaign once I catch up with Fable 2, Dead Space, & Gears 2. |
@Skeeuk - Dude, I think you may be having a mental breakdown.

well lol i changed my mind, it was just a question that i wanted to know thats all, this is my last R2 and G2 thread ever i promise. i cannot belive how many stella games have been released this year. |
lol it's all good I just thought it was funny and worth pointing out
I never got all the comparisons about these two different types of games. Yes they are shooters but the similarities end pretty much there. Multiplayer in the games are going for something completely different. It would be like comparing something like CS to Battlefield 2. Both fun experiences but completely different types of gameplay. I guess being the "big guns" for each system during the holidays would make these comparisons natural if somewhat misguided.
