"American Dad" has been renewed for a fifth season...

 

On the bright side, this renews my hopes to get my own show on the air "watching a urine stain soak in to a carpet"

I've only seen the first season of it, and only parts of that one, but it wasn't that bad. It was far better than Family Guy, but again, that doesn't say a lot.

I don't understand people who don't find Family Guy funny.
You know what isn't funny? Futurama. There, I said it. (except for Zapp Branigan of course)

I can't say I've watched much of American Dad, but what I have seen wasn't horrible...

Futurama is awesome! It does something original, and you can't expect what happens. In Family Guy you generally can, except when he starts having those 10 minute long fights with a chicken. For crying out loud, I cannot see how people find morony like that fun.

I never said Futurama was bad, it's just generally not funny.
And that chicken fight was hilarious (the first time round)

The show's been on a downward spiral for a while but there's still the odd lol. Seasons 2/3 are the stuff of legend.

I never said you said Futurama was bad, I said that it was awesome. I can see that people don't like it though.

I may be a bit biased on Family Guy, as I saw season 4 or 5 (I think) first, and then season 1 or 2 (I think) later. 1 and 2 are relatively good, and fun watching. In seasons 4 and 5, they say some things that really piss me off (like strippers are already dead inside, as a last sentence in the episode... WTF?)

American Dad's not bad.

It's like current simpsons, it has it's moments, but when it's not on fire it's still watchable.
