Texans...
I would, but I'm just 4 months off.

Twesterm, what do you care about? You plan on having children? Care how they get educated or treated by your health insurance if, god forbid, one has a rare or expensive disease? Drive a car, want better roads? Wanna get drafted? Want your taxes to go up or down?
Not trying to harass you, but I don't really comprehend how no issue can inspire certain people to vote.
(I already voted. I don't think many non-voters are going to respond much, because if they don't care, they don't care. If they do respond, then they are just non-conformers conforming.)
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

If you wish to change anything any time you need to do something for it. OK, texas is a republican state but if you ever wish to change that what you have to do is go and vote, and maybe on next elections, if you see change has been close, more people will go and vote for democrats.
That's the idea of wanting a change, do your part of it.
PS: Sorry for my English, I'm from Spain...
I'm voting... though only so i feel justified to bitch.
Probably for a third party candidate just in case McCain wins, then I can claim i didn't vote for the president either way.
Aside from which there are a lot of important state issues on the ballot.
One for a Casino, one to try and shutdown Payday loan places, library levy, and one where they want to make it harder for voter initative issues to get on the ballot.

And if you don't plan on having kids you could always vote the school levies down!
I know that's what i do. Partially because our state funds it's schools in a way ruled illegal and has for the past 20 years. No new levies until they fix the system. Well that and as a product of said system i know for a fact they actually have way too much money that they don't know what to do with and spend it on stupid coddling events like shipping sand to the school for "beach parties" and BS while making dumb descions like leasing copying machines instead of buying them.

I would vote if it wasn´t such a huge haste to vote from here (germany) and I could vote any state I wanted... since I can only vote in IL and thats Obama country anyway I´m not going to go through a bunch of paperwork... besides organized government is a fad anyway... anarchy will be back any day now... any day...

I'm not. I don't pay attention to the candidates so I don't know enough about any of them to vote.
Same goes for whatever else is on the ballot.
