Forums - Microsoft - Using the HD to store games on 360

If theres only 13 gb of free space on my HD and I save 2 big games IE. Gears2,Fable2, than that leaves me with virtually no hard drive space left, Now I know some people are gonna come in here guns blazing about getting the bigger hard drive but lets face the facts here, Not everyone has an elite, let alone arcade owners.... So basically I don't see any true value of this with the majority of people having such small HD's. maybe if you only play 1 or 2 games.

Well, over the coming years, that majority will turn into 60gb owners. And some/most people do only play 1/2 games at a time. A game which they're going through the campaign, and a game for the online.

At least, that's what I do.

well your not forced to install games so if you have a small hard drive and can't put much in you just have to settle with using the disk, and I dont see why thats a big deal considering you have to have the disk inside regardless...
am upgrading mine to 120GB....if you dont want to upgrade, then take it how it is...

I only install the games i play ALOT,IE-Fable 2

your going to have to upgrade to a 60gb or a 120gb, but i dont think its worth it so im not going to buy a bigger hardrive just to save games to it.

Just imagine if you were one of the unfortunate people that bought a PS3 20 Gb in the first year and their hard drive installs are mandatory.

At least you have a choice on 360. Its a nice feature, but it is also a premium feature.

not all ps3 games require installs.

A good proportion of big hitters do, though.

true. guess they all have to go and buy bigger hardrives now, but i dont think that a lot of people bought the 20gb because it didnt have wifi and the chrome trim. plus, it got discontinued pretty quickly.
