This is years away from being a completed product. Microsoft Research does stuff as a "Proof of Concept" typically. The whole point of this is simply to show that a game can be used to teach programming ideas.
Later MSR may hand it off to a product group and then they will make it into a real game if it ever gets to that point. Right now, it is just an MSR researcher doing research.

Typical AAA projects are much larger... But the point is still there. 5 vs. 25 is a five fold resourcing difference. If you just take a linear scale this project will take 15 years before they build something of LBP quality. The truth of the matter is that they simply aren't building a LBP clone and the resourcing shows they are not trying to.
LOL that made my day... 9 years old.... I wasn't that far with LBP design by 5 years old :D... and being a concept mouarf... I love me self
