Forums - Microsoft Discussion - When Will the 360 Fall below 30% in Market Share?

I will go out on a limb and say - soon.

Did anyone think the 360 would be above %30 at this point in this gen's cycle?

Microsoft did.

By all acounts, they expected better...

By the end of this year.

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

soon, with the kinda weeks Wii is having...heck...pretty soon, both ps3 and 360 will be trying to hold 50% of market share.

When the PS3 bundles are released in Japan and LBP and Resistance come out. Then it will go back over for a while when Gears 2 and Banjo come out, but the PS3 will be knocking it back down with high quality games up until next Spring's GDC when the Next Box is announced and except for a few unfinished current gen games most of MS' game development will switch to preparing titles for the launch of MS' next console. By next August the PS3 will definitely have done a nice job of cutting the 360's lead to an easily surmountable figure.

My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.
