Forums - General - The mighty Thor vs. The incredible Hulk

Well here is the first of the superhero battles that will be invading the bored and gloomy of vghchartz!

personally I would give this to Thor. In the Infinity Watch series, Thor goes insane and goes on a rampage while the Watch tries to stop him.

Drax and the Hulk meet up with him in outer space, and Thor proceeds to throw the Hulk far off into a planet (hulk couldn't 'swim' or 'fly' in space to get back to the fight), which left Drax to fight him off alone. Keep in mind Drax was in possession of the Power gem at this point in time, yet he was unable to get the better of Thor, and in fact lost possession of this gem to the Asgardian. The fight ended with Drax trying to lift Thor's hammer, but he was unable to do so and was soundly defeated. If Thor can do this to Drax, who has shown equal strength to the Hulk, I think Thor can easily wipe the floor with the other green monster.

In fact, I think Thor could've beaten them both at the same time!

Which Hulk? The original Hulk or the more modern renditions of Hulk?

The original Hulk was pretty much indestructible with the ability to adapt his body to pretty much any circumstances he faced combined with super strength and endurance to beat just about any obstacle. He was pretty much unstoppable and would probably tie the original Superman in a fight.

The newer Hulk... isn't quite so much. His powers have been toned down a lot and he's not quite the unstoppable force he used to be.

So my verdict is that in straight fight: Original Hulk > Thor > New Hulk

Thor. He´s the freaking god of thunder, damnit! :D

ah, but original hulk had his many scraps with wolverine, where there was no real victor. i wouldn't think wolverine could hang with thor... but then again, it could just be the peculiarity of wolverine's strengths being some sort of balance to the hulk's.

(or are you referring to an even older iteration of the hulk that i'm not aware of?)

I'm really not sure entirely.  It's been ages since I read a Hulk comic book most of were from the early-mid 70s.  I think I've only seen one that was from the 60s but I'm not sure about that as it's been a while.

I'm going by memory here.  ><

I was actually more into X-Men than other super heroes... strange that I missed the X-Men/Hulk crossovers.

well i'm not sure if the hulk/xmen crossovers are still in circulation... prolly on ebay for a few thousand bucks >

If is a death match Hulk Will Win.
If a Normal Match, Thor will Win.
