Forums - Gaming - What 3rd party titles for Wii are you honestly excited about?

Just off the top the top of my head:

Probably will get:
De Blob
Dewy's Adventure
Dragon Quest Swords
Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers
Geometry Wars
Mario and Sonic
Medal of Honor
MySims
NiGHTS
No More Heroes
Resident Evil:Umbrella Chronicles
Zack and Wiki
Bully
Rockstar's Table Tennis

Might get:
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Soul Calibur Legends
Sadness

Plus all the first party games, and 360 games, and I have a lot of games to look forward to.

Consoles I Own: NES, SNES, N64, GC, GBA, DS, X360, Wii

I don't really care about predicting how much they because 1) I'm just not good at predicting that and 2) I don't care.

No More Heroes
Zack and Wiki
Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Madden 2008
Boogie
Geometry Wars
Rayman: Ravying Rabbids 2

I have seen many games that i would be interested in purchasing, none have intrigued me more though than No More Heroes. Not to mention i was a huge NiGHTs fan when the original came out, so i will definately be picking that up, picking up various small games such as Bully and Soul Calibur. Things like that...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Righteo ho, first before I forget can I ask how much do you guys think a Wii game needs to sell to break even, on average? I believe 360 / Ps3 is around 500k copies but obviously the Wii is much cheaper so would about 150k-250k be a good estimate?

Anyway onto the games and predictions!

No More Heroes - 800k

FFCC:TCB - 1.7m

RE:UC - 850k

Dewy's Adventure - 200k

Mario / Sonic Olympics - 1.6m

MySims - 600k

NiGHTs: Journey Into Dreams - 400k

Guitar Hero III - 1.1m

Zack and Wiki - 700k

Soul Calibur Legends - 450k

Rayman Raving Rabids 2 - 1.2m

Dragon Blade: Wraith of Fire - 275k

Opoona - 400k

Really there are only 3 games there I will definitely undoubtedly buy, third parties have been a let down so far so lets hope they can turn it around soon.

Not that I was aware of that thread before posting this one but how is it exactly the same when I'm also asking for predictions on sales figures?

It's like you actually expect the people to use the search function and a fraction of effort before posting.

It's pretty hard to say. If you take 3rd party games currently announced for Wii I'd say the average target to break even could be less than 100k due to so many of them being really low budget. I'd say No More Heroes and FFCC are the only known projects that dev's are assigning significant resources to but they still pale in comparison to what 3rd partys are spending on PS3/360.

I think Zack and Wiki, Nights 2, Dewy's Adventure, RE:UC and a few more have a reasonable budget to them. It's a shame really cause I would really like to see more games on the Wii which seem like the company are aiming to make the same quality product like they do with X360 / PS3 (And I'm sure it'll happen now the Wii is selling so well!).

I know different games are different budgets, but lets say for the higher budget more impressive Wii games like the ones mentioned above, my head tells me it'll be around 200k-300k, anyone else got any thoguhts?

Ok, Ok, lets have a look here...
Personally i think No More Heroes could have a huge audience, its sleek and stylish. Has a nice style of gameplay according to IGN. Also would attract many people looking for a more mature fix on the Wii early on its lifetime. Also i can see it attracting many people for the sheer fact that you have a sword like weapon (also like a lightsaber) and that you use that with the wii remote. I Think it could be a 3+ million seller.
