I've recently become hooked on pick-up-and-play games. I'm all about Mario Kart, Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, or Brawl. I don't really have a lot of time to play games, so playing in short bursts works well for me.

Depends on the kind of game. An RPG like Tales of Symphonia can never be long enough, because you're really experiencing the journey and the world is huge enough to remain interesting. I also loved the length of Twilight Princess, for about the same reason.
An action game like God of War or Devil May Cry though, focusing on combat, gets repetitive and loses its killer instinct after some time, so these games should only take around 10 hours and focus on replayability. Kinda like they do in reality.
In other words, I'm content with the way developers usually handle length.
