Just cause the wii cant have download games because of its less then PS3 hardware capability, download able games should not count .

You serious ????? rofl.

So Brain age, wii sports and wii play and Endless Ocean are "games"

yet Calling all cars and Socom Confrontation are not ?

The list has Warhawk, yahh it has a Br version with headset SO will Socom Confrontation and its not on the list.

Either way

Socom 4
Battle Field Valkyrie
Disgaea 3
Megazone 23: Blue Garland
Nobi Nobi Boy
Railfan Taiwan
Dynasty Warriors 6

all come on a disk and are not on the list.

All of those were anounced within the last week, or are not comming to the US (notice lots of Wii exclusives that are not comming to the US or have not been anounced for the US are not on the Wii list either). It ONLY counts games being released in the United States and confirmed to be released there.

Ari_Gold:

Are you really complaining that most of those games are crap? I'm sure you, like me, owned a PS2 last generation. In fact, I'm willing to bet a good 50%-60% of this board did. Finding the gold amongst the crap on the PS2 was like finding a needle in a haystack. The Wii is the same way. However, from a sales standpoint (keep in mind this is a game sales website) the system with the most games sells the best. This is an explosion of games, as per Bod's initial point that was thrown off course by fanboy flame wars. The games explosion will have a HUGE effect on Wii sales. As the PS3 and 360 start to take back shelf to a massive wall full of Wii games, the Wii will begin to take over the same casual "I buy whatever has the games" market that the PS2 had last generation.

Bod's purpose in this post wasn't to boast the quality (and btw, I can pick out 8 games out of those 37 which I'm sure will be reviewed above an 8 without a doubt), but to show a 3rd party development trend that is going to lead (especially in the long term) to a widened Wii sales gap. You people attacked him and his post on an issue that had nothing to do with it. You have every right to dislike the Wii games that are coming, but that is no reason to attack and derail the poster and the topic based on your opinions when Bod was just trying to show a valid and interesting piece of information that is VERY relevant to game sales.

Interesting point naznatips, why didn't I think of that. >_>

Around the Network

This thread is hilarious.

Folks, we're talking about videogame consoles...lighten up. We all know our own preferred consoles are superior to everyone else's, so there. We can all pray at the Church of Sony or Church of Nintendo in contemplative solitude, there's absolutely no need to share our fanaticism.

hold up hold up.

Just one second here.

I've noticed something incredibly important on this exclusive arms race website:

Viva Pinata is also out on PC?

It was announced at E3. Not out yet.

sweet! One less reason to buy a 360.

All I need is for Mass Effect to be released on PC (or to suck) and then I will save myselv $500

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Thank you, voice of reason. The thread was entertaining for a while but people are taking this particular console war very seriously.

Current systems owned: Wii, 360. I'll get a PS3 when hell freezes over!... or when the price drops to a reasonable level. Whichever comes first.

The question is simple, as a Wii owner do you prefer Ninja Bread Man as an exclusive or Resident Evil 5 as a multiplatform game that also comes out on Wii?

That's entirely subjective and... totally not the point!?

Is that so? Replace Ninja Bread Man with almost any of the games on this list and RE 5 with a big game franchise that you like: I dunno GTA, DMC, Call of Duty, FF series, MGS series, etc...

And it still applies.

Also this thread was asking to be flamed. I mean seriously, 3rd party explosion? This is it? Color me completely and totally unimpressed.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

You'd be surprised how aggressive people will get to avoid facing the possibilities of buyer's remorse.  I wrote a paper about it in Psychology.  It has always been something people feared in gaming, but this generation people are spending up to $600 on their console alone.  The fact that there is a gaming option down at $250 makes them even more aggressive and defensive about their choice, as no one in their right mind wants to say "That much cheaper console has better games."  Not that those buying the $250 console are any better.  They all WANT to cause the PS3 owners buyer's remorse so that they can feel like they conquered their imaginary "enemy."  The aggressive behavior is a simple,  basic, and instinctive reaction to avoid this situation.

What's wrong with Ninja Bread Man?

Kruze is absolutely right ckmlb, and you are absolutely wrong.  You are presenting your personal opinion as fact in a debate about something that the topic was never about in the first place.  This topic isn't about the quality of the games, it's about a large amount of exclusive games suddenly being released on the Wii, and the fact that this pick up in Wii games will increase Wii sales.   No one (least of all Bodesatva) claimed that these games were all good, or even that any of them were good.  He was simply trying to show a large amount of games being created for the Wii.  What you are arguing about is pointless, irrelevant, and full of your own opinions.

I find it simply amazing that nobody has told windbane to shut his pie hole.

This is a thread about console exclusives.  The whole point of the thread is exclusive titles, yet he won't stop yammering on about "PS360" games....Are you kidding me?  Everybody understands there are games that are not exclusive, yeah..we get it. Its not rocket science. But it is completely and utterly off topic in this thread.

Here let me explain.....

/begin sarcasm
See the way posting on an internet forum works is like this...Someone makes a thread, they are called the original poster or OP for short. The OP sets a TOPIC for the thread. And TOPICS are things you talk about, like bicycles and trains....or in this case console exclusives.  So the idea is pretty much to talk about the TOPIC set by the original poster.  You seem to have gone off track when you not only started posting off the TOPIC, but you were posting about the very antithesis of the TOPIC.
/end sarcasm

I apologize if this comes off as extremely rude, but so is derailing someone's thread topic. I mean, you completely prevented this thread from even approaching a discussion on its original topic.  It is just mind boggling to me that someone can miss the point so thoroughly.

@Bodhesatva,

For what its worth it was a good thread topic.  This type of shift could have a lot of impact in the longterm sales numbers, especially if the trend continues.

PS - I have no problem with Windbane pointing out that there are a bunch of titles the Wii will never get.  This is true, its just not relevant in this thread.  My problem was his incessant attempts to have a conversation that was the opposite of the thread topic.

To Each Man, Responsibility

So now game quality doesn't matter anymore? Not to mention that list is inflated in Nintendo's favor and deflated in Sony's favor. Ckmlb is completely in-line here. This thread was ASKING to get torn apart.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
