Also how can GT5 even compare ... currently there are 16 Million PS3 consoles sold ... If GTA IV stopped selling tomorrow (which will not happen), GT5 will have to have an attach rate of ~75% ... THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY. Even if we assume GT5 was the best system seller game, then these people will end up buying a copy of GTA IV down the road anyway.

 

Yeah, but the Lifetime sales of GT5 does stand a chance to surpass the LT sales of GTAIV (the total combined for both systems) later down the road.

And when GT5 is released the PS3 install base will be much much higher than it is now.

Gran Truismo prologue sales are huge; and that is just a small taste as we all know.

gran turismo has always sold 9-10+ million. the way it stands now, with the way prologue has been selling, its going to sell more than that.

i think only halo and gt have the power to overcome gta.

I don't think that GTA5 will be on the PS360. PS4+720 maybe, or Wii more likely
GT5 will outsell PS3 version of GTA4, but probably won't outsell PS360 versions

@ Scottie , there were 3 GTA's on the PS2 so it's likely we'll have at least 2 this gen.
