"With friends" is the complete opposite, it's really great and you can do any kind of game you want (even Coin matches if you're one of the 4 people who enjoys them!).

What are people are on about?

I play random online matches all the time and it's quite rare that to experience any lag at all. The only issues I have are people dropping out (which freezes the match) or occasionally the game screws up and sets 2 people 'Brawling' and the 3rd still in Practice Mode then it crashes. The real limitations with SSBB's online are caused by other users, not Nintendo. I.E dropping out, joining a match then leaving (resetting the countdown timer), spamming thunder or ONLY choosing Final Destination over and over again, because they can't win with Ike on any other stage.

It can't use the same system as MKwii otherwise someone could be attacking you but you think they're on another side of the stage. MKwii has the best online, but SSBB is by far the better game

How are these problems?

If someone picks Final Destination with me I'm happy, it means they just lost a match.
