I went there today to pick up a copy of NBA 2K9 and poof, I'm surprised by LBP right there on the display case. I asked if this was like an evaluation copy, and they showed me that they had hundreds of the bloody things. On retrospect, i should've taken a picture. They assured me it was legit.

Anyways, I'm wondering heavily now.. how in the hell did they do it? in a third world country no less?

smart, i would have done the same thing too and wait it out a week than get ripped off.

The retailer is probably breaking their contract. Maybe in the Philippines there is no oversight from Sony. Any retailer that did this in most bigger markets would put at risk their sales relationship with Sony.

How comes so many retailers broke the Halo 3 release date? I mean, in the UK, Tesco and Asda (Asda = Walmart) both broke the dates, and I also believe that Argos did it.

The UK isn't such a small market, and these ain't no small stores. And, yet, they all still sell Microsoft published titles.

It's up to Sony how far they want to push it. There is a certain amount of trust that goes on, if you break that trust then that could change the future relationship.

It's just a release screw up, it happens... hell, a gas station set out their Indiana Jones display last Friday. I had already left before it even occurred to me, heh.

I cant find a store that has "unreserved" copies. I didnt realize how many people wanted this game!
