Forums - General - Dow up 936 points

Since no one seems to have posted it, oddly.

It's the largest point gain in the Dow's history; so large that the Dow is back over 9000 (ignoring the meme here)

It's been really bumpy month, eh?

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

I heard it this afternoon... After the EU plans went through, all stocks rose especially the financial ones. I was surprised in a good way. PErhaps we can divert the recession.

The market is very volatile. Everyone's waiting for the next piece of bad news, but trying to profit in the meantime... Anyway, the injection of cash into banks by EU/US will help for a while, I'm just worried about the inflation which might result later.

When governments mess too much with the economy, they often end up screwing it up even more.

Ah, I was wondering where it was :)

I'm of the same mind, too.  Laissez-faire FTW!

Agreed, however if it weren't for the financial sector f***ing up in the first place with mortgages the gov wouldn't have to step in and clean up everyone's shit.

Inflation is my biggest concern right now too. Good that the dow did something other than drop though.

Good news for McCain and the rest of the guys at the Arlington HQ! Although the MSM will be more "Doom and gloom."
