The fact a PS2 costs less than a dvd might be why it still sells....

I think it is still selling as it is very cheap and is still getting decent games being released, although graphically not so good people dont care so much really so carry on buying the consoles.

Help I cant get my trophy card to work.

The games are cheap for the PS2 now. There a several games I plan on buying for it before I completely am 7th-gen focused. They are as follows:

MGS2 & 3
Kingdom Hearts 2
Final Fantasy X
Jak & Daxter
Sly Cooper 3
Onimusha

There is only 2 Gamecube games I have yet to play before I am done with it, and they are Skies of Arcadia, and Baten Kaitos Origins.

A great price and the largest game library available to a console are the cause for the PS2's continued sales, it has nothing to do with Nintendo.

Because it keeps on breaking?

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

If PS2 is getting any share of of Wii customers then wonder how much Wii would have sold :o

If Wii wasn't doing so well, your statement of PS2 getting Wii customers will be more justified but it is doing super well. I mostly seen this discussion concerning how to get PS2 owners to buy PS3, seems to be more of a problem if PS2 is still selling.
