Forums - Microsoft - Silicon Knights files lawsuit against Epic?

I think to some degree this is Silicon Knights' business plan catching up with them.

The company seems to put at least two years effot into each game and releases about one at a time. This leaves relatively little room for error, and UE3 problems apparently caused a big error.

I'm not really sure which side of the lawsuit I'm on. Even people in the industry seem to have split comments on UE3's quality and timeliness...but I don't think Silicon Knights is pursuing this out of nowhere, either.

Around the Network

If only Silicon Knights had stuck with Nintendo they'd be made, but instead they grew too proud and too impatient. Is it just me or does Dyack cross you as somewhat of a hot tempered individual?

Things that have changed since the last Generation of Gaming:

- Nintendo has shown us you can have the best selling console of all time with virtually no games for it.

- Graphics suddenly matter to Sony fans but Reverse Compatibility and Dual shock oddly enough don’t.

- Kiddy Crap is trendy with Hardcore gamers now that it’s no longer Nintendo’s “thing” (Viva Piñata, Little Big Planet, Banjo Kazooie 3, LBP)

- Third Party Developers are now essentially the equivalent of Video Game street pimps.

- Gimmicks are no longer fads (Wii-mote)... Well, not all Gimmicks (PS-Eye)

Hot tempered? Honestly not really. E3 2006 aftermath had him sounding exasperated for taking criticism for a problem that he could do nothing to fix. Having read him in many other interviews, he has always remained calm.
