TBH I think most of the counter points on here are stupid. THe person that says he can connect to the internet with a 56MB card for instance. I know. Read my second post.

Secondly. The guy that uses Gears as a counter argument to my point. The point being Gears is an example. If gears was the only game where updates and add ons were available then you'd be correct. But thats not the case, so please think before you type.

Thirdly. Everyone bangs on about the 360 being more hardcore. Therefore most people purchasing it would require at least the HDD. Which makes the 360 more expensive straight away.

Fourthly. I wouldnt start a thread without thinking it through. Please do the same when responding.

Let me reiterate the only fact in this thread. The 360 Arcade is cheaper than the Wii. Everything else is OPTIONAL and a matter of opinion based an the individual.For one person, a 360 Elite, every accessory and 150 games are how you take full advantage of the console. To anothe person, it's a 360 Arcade and Lost Odyssey. Stop speaking like every 360 owner is one collective whole looking for the same things.

You have 10 minutes to make a legitimate point beyond that statement or I'm closing the thread.

Its easy.  THe Arcade version has always been a cheaper alternative.  However when the 360 first came out, this was only bought because there was a shortage of of the premium model.

What Microsoft are trying to do with the Arcade version is make it look as if the 360 is a cheaper alternative to the Wii.

They want the price to be supposedly lower.  They are changing the look of the console to be more community orientated (ie Mii's)

This is all marketing to fool individuals into thinking they are getting something for a bargain.  By point has always been,  add the total cost up and youre paying more.

Did you know I have no downloads on my 20GB HDD and yet I only have 5GB free.  How longs a 256MB card going to last.  Believe me these people thinking they have bought a cheaper alternative, will soon be back to the stores paying the silly price of £64.99 for 20GB HD lol.  You can get a 500GB for that lol.

The best thing about the 360 is its online features.  If you are not a hardcore gamer then get a Wii.  If you are a hardcore gamer and dont want to pay to go online and dont want to pay for all the extras needed get a PS3.

Ive owned my 360's since the start.  Thats £160 extra just to play with other people.  Microsoft are ripping you and I off.  Dont defend them.
