Forums - Sony Discussion - Could One of the New IPs from Team Ico be a Shadow of the Collosus sequel?

I was just thinking about Sony saying they have some new IPs for 2009. Could one of them be a Shadow of the Colossus sequel. Think about it Team Ico are the same people who worked on Shadow of the Colossus.

What do you guys think?

i hope so

Then it wouldn't be a new IP... it would be a sequel :P

Edit: IP stands for Intellectual Property.  A new IP would be an original idea.  For example, Little Big Plannet is a new IP.

I don't know i'm just thinking.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

That is not what a new IP is!

And Team ICO doesn't do sequels!

There will never be a Shadow of the Colossus 2, and I thank God every day for it!

We've heard rumors that the Team ICO game won't be shown at TGS, but it's been confirmed they're working on a game. It would fall in line with their normal release periods for a game to be released in 09, so I think one will be. I just don't think they want to show it now. It would be like emphasizing God of War 3 which doesn't come out until next year, which would overshadow some of the other good games they have coming out before the holidays. At the same time, God of War has been announced and videos (although not gameplay) also shown.

Maybe they're waiting until they can release some good gameplay footage before announcing the game? It would be a massive change-of-pace for what Sony is used to doing, but I'd prefer they did that with all games honestly.

if they gonna do sequel it will be ICO sequel, if you see the ending of shadow of the colossus you'll know what i mean.

That's because they meant to say successor.
