What do you classify this sub genre as?  Cause that just isn't true... hack N slash games existed before Devil May Cry.

I've posted on this topic many times before and don't feel like retyping what I've said.  I've also posted in other threads about the genre that you participated in the past.  This is one of my favorite types of games.  I'm also not a DMC hater, I've played them all.  I thought GoW was ok and yes I prefer NG to them both. They all have their flaws as you've tried to generalize but I feel the crux of any action game is combat and that's what I prefer.  That's not to say I don't enjoy other games.  I liked DMC and even though it has just the faintest resemblence of the same genre but I even liked Too Human :P

I know who Kamiya is....I just think it's funny that Kamiya has criticized the action game genre saying it hasn't evolved since his original DMC.  Granted this is just a small trailer and it's too early to judge but it doesn't look like he's doing so much himself to reinvigorate the genre.

when i see the main character ,the only thing that I think she can handle is reading 4000 books per hour not killing huge monsters,,,yea she looks like a bookworm
