I buy systems just because they are systems.... Anything the big three make i will buy. dosnt even matter about the games. of course (like the wii) after a year or two if i dont get something good ill be pissed.

Wow, you  must have been disappointed if you were a Final Fantasy fan and bought a PSone for 7.

When I got an N64, it was for Super Mario 64.  I did buy ~25 games for the system in all, though.  I've never bought a system for not-yet-released games.  I always thought it was silly when people in 2006 were buying $600 PS3s for Final Fantasy 13.  You can get it on the 360 too now for $200.

I bought other games later on for those systems also, but only for personal greed. PS3 is still waiting in slumber.

Edit:  I guess you could say I got it for the Bluray player aswell, but I am still using a CRT (SDTV).

I've gotten plenty of consoles with one game - PS1 with only Army Men: Sarge's Heroes (haven't ever played XD, only got with it because it came with it), Game Boy Color with only Spy vs. Spy, Gamecube with only Sonic Mega Collection, and Wii with only Twilight Princess (unless you count Wii Sports).

But I always planned on getting extra games, and always did.

I bought my 360 for Halo 3... Ended up purchasing many more since, though.
