Forums - Microsoft - Tesco follow Sainsburys? More price cuts?

I haven't seen this reported anywhere, so have to ask others. After my local Sainsburys had sold out of all the 360's I'd thought I had lost my chance to get a cheap 360 this week. But went to Tesco after college and stumbled on a bunch of 60gb models going for £145. I bought it up and will get some games next week when I have more money.

Is it just my store or is this in other stores? It's not on the website. If it is national, more stores may follow them, the 360 is incredibly cheap in the UK now.

On another note, they were also offering a free Wii game with every Wii bought at normal price too, was almost tempted to get that too.

this shit is unreal. Tesco are the whores of retail

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

And I'd be OK with catching an STD from them. The Extra store near me sells games for much less than GAME or GameStation, and they're still shrinkwrapped so there's no ambiguity over if I'm being sold a pre-owned game as new.
