I'm signing up.  Free stuff is good!

Users will get 500 bonus tickets when they sign up for the program, and can earn up to 25 tickets each day.

The promotion will run from October 1, 2008 until April 15, 2009.

Rewards include an Xbox 360 controller for 5,500 tickets, Xbox 360 games, and more.

I used to be a manager of a theatre and I played Live Search Club games during the down times and I was able to accrue enough points to get a free Zune. And I must say I am very happy with it. I wrote a macro that would do continuous searches on Live Search and then realized there was like a 15 point limit per day. I even had it pulling sentences from Moby Dick. That wasted like 20 minutes of my day.

If it's going to run from 1st October....where is it?

It says 'going to be' a rewards program but it should have already started even though I can find no reference to it on microsoft websites (in the 2 minutes I could be bothered to look)

I'm guessing you need to sign in to hotmail - at least that's what I'm doing.

I'm hoping that I'll get an email from microsoft.

@Jaggedsac - how do we get points?

Here is the site with all the games. You will need a Windows Live account to accrue points though. There are a bunch of games to play ranging from crossword puzzles to those anagram puzzles like Text Twist. You get like 15 or 20 points a pop for beating the games. If you can't completely beat a game you will get a percentage of the points. It took me a while to get enough, but I would play during my off time and I love crossword puzzles anyway.

Cool, I might try it.
