Forums - Microsoft - Ten Little Xbox 360 Sitting in Their Graves... and Counting

Meh I don't think the problem is nearly as bad as it used to be, It's probably less than a fraction of what the failure rate once was.

However, the local Toys R Us stores near me no longer stock 360's due to the various reliability issues, and when I told them that the problem has gone away, the people behind the counter said that even then they probably still wouldn't be allowed to stock them
I don't know if that's just a regional decision or a country wide one, but either way it's not a good thing.

But there are other stores right next to them that are selling them like crazy, so I guess Toys R Us loses out!
I'm thinking more and more of picking up a new one, it's been a while since I traded my old one in, and variety so they say (at least in gaming) is the spice of life.

But if that one bites the dust...

haha. this is bs. you have to be doing something stupid to your consoles for that to happen. two, maybe even three, i could believe youre unlucky. but 10? uhh no. especially if theyre newer models, they were supposed to have fixed the rrod problem. and i know many people that have had their consoles since launch that play them all the time and theyve never had any problems.

I'm still on my first unit (> 2 years), probably because I have a 3rd party cooling unit on the bottom. If you intend to keep using the Xbox, you might want to consider getting a cooling unit.
