I think the 360 and PS3 are fairly priced right now, but:

Xbox 360: £100 (all versions, there's nothing that appeals to me more in the Elite than in the basic, and I only want 2/3 games for it, two of which aren't out in Europe. I would probably sell if after I finish those two/three games).

Playstation 3: £200 (for whatever has backwards compatability. I would never spend more than this for a console. There aren't many games I want for this, either).

Wii: Nothing. Don't want one. If I was offered one for free, which I couldn't sell, I wouldn't want it.

that is just silly and narrow minded to refuse a new console which u would get for free, same goes for the haters who said they wouldnt want a PS3 or 360 free of charge.

if u had a wii u should play it with ur family and friends and u wil have a lot of fun, i promise u that

No, my brother has a Wii. I can't stand the controller, the graphics are horrible (often worse than some last-gen games) and there are no games that appeal to me (Tales Of Symphonia 2 I'll skip purely because of the Wii controls).

Not all people say they don't want it because they don't like the idea of it, they say they don't want it because they don't like it. I would rather not have it cluttering my living/bedroom. They're small enough as it is.

I have the same opionion as well.  The 2009 line-up of games is looking much better then what is coming out from now to the end of 2008 for Wii.  But, I usually want to play games that can use the GC controller because I really don't like it.  Part of the problem, Wii Motion + may fix, but other problem is that I have a birth defect in my left hand that makes it very tiring to hold the nun-chuck for long periods of time (over 10 minutes).  Also, I think we also have seen where Worse Graphics can result in Worse Gameplay for the Wii.  Companies get lazy on one aspect that they percieve the consumers don't care about, so they get lazy on other aspects of the game that should be good.  Luckily, it looks like the situation is getting better next year.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Well, since I bought my Wii at $250 and got my 360 for free, I can't list either of those.

PS3? I wouldn't pay for one - period - until I get an HDTV. Then, when I have that, I'd probably pay $200, and that'd be for a 20GB model.

400$ for 360 'cause that much i payed for it
400$ for PS3 'cause i'm gettin' it soon
150$ for Wii 'cause the only game worth playing on it is Zelda

Wii @ 100€ (My GF likes wii... :) )
X360 @ 0€ (I really don't need it.)
PS3 @ 50€ (Only true heterogeneous platform you can really get. I would buy it only for learning programming on such a platform.)

I own a Wii.

X360 - $50. I can't justify spending cash on a console when I can buy a game for one I own instead. At $50 I would just have to find a 2 month gap that there were no Wii games I would enjoy, but that doesn't happen often.

PS3 - At $100 I would buy it instantly as I would love to own a Blu-Ray Player, $200 if there were no games coming out for the Wii that I wanted, which is fairly rare, so I don't see it happening too soon. If I get itchy for a Blu-ray player and the stand alone units don't come down in price, then I might consider spending more.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

@Va1entinoZ "150$ for Wii 'cause the only game worth playing on it is Zelda"

I must beg to differ. I don't care how much of a core gamer you are, if you haven't played Super Mario Galaxy, you don't know what you're missing. The Wii is worth buying for that game alone IMO.

Also, I guess that I should revise my original post that started this thread. I originally said that I'd buy a PS3 for $300. I guess that I was mistaken as I bought one for $400 a couple of days ago. My motivations for purchasing the system were as follows:

1) I love both the Rock Band and Guitar Hero series

2) I don't believe that the DLC solution for RB2 and GH:WT on Wii will satisfy me

3) I really want a Blu-ray player

4) PS3 will play DivX files and upscale my vast (2000+) DVD collection

5) I own an HDTV (1080i/720p)

I didn't buy a game with my PS3, which I'll admit felt a bit strange. I bought The Shining and Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray and pre-ordered GH:WT and LittleBigPlanet. When I got the system home I downloaded Super Stardust HD. I like the system so far but I'm looking forward to getting some real games for it. I don't care for FPS, sports, or racing games too much but in a couple of weeks I'll have some games to keep me occupied for quite some time (GH:WT, RB2, & LBP).

Sometimes price isn't a factor.

I bought a Wii regardless of its price. I wanted the Nintendo games and I knew Wii would get a lot of fantastic unique games as well.

I have no time for more than one console. The exclusives that I knew were coming to PS360 I knew if I really wanted them, I probably could play them as they mostly would also be on PC. So, in that regard, even if the PS360 were
