Anyway, yeah man, I don't hate the PS3. I just don't like it, lol. When I make a stupid foeboy thread like this, it's better than the average stupid foeboy thread. Wanna know why, lol? My honesty is refreshing. I'm not gonna try to spin anything or lie to anyone, nor am I even gonna insult a console or game(that's stupid as hell, imo). I'm just point out things.

Anyway, breaking news, yesterday evening, right before I ordered my first gaming PC, my 360 died. 1 red light, not 3. Not the rrod. Which means that my warranty was almost out for it. Luckily it wasn't. I gotta send it off tomorrow, in my own box(not a coffin).

You know what, I'm not really pissed, and it's not a big deal to me. Free repair and all. However, I'm not gonna lie about it to make Microsoft look good. I bought my console last november. They don't make these things as sturdy as I wish, but the games make up for it. I really have never moved or touched it, left it vertically standing, never played it for more than 2 hours at a time, dusted it everyday, and have two fans blowing on it at all times while it plays, both from independant power sources. It still broke. I don't think it was from overheating. Can't wait to get it back, got silent hill coming in on gamefly.

Same here. my 360 died 2 weeks ago, right after buying Duke Nukem. I don't know why, by all means I should be furious, but i'm not really mad. Its still in the shop now.

 



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I'm completely paranoid about my early X360, which is still running.  Probably I should just enjoy it (except I have no games I'm desperate to play at the moment), and let it die... except of course the RRoD warranty is almost up, I think.  I hate having my console choke.  I lost my first PS2 after a long session of some JRPG'ing and no saving... the DVD drive flaked out and never did work right again.  I've been a paranoid save-every-chance-I-get RPGer ever since.

 

The PS3 has some good stuff showing at TGS this year, I think.  I'd be happier as a PSWii owner than as a Wii60 owner right now, personally.  Not much good stuff on the near-horizon for the 360 for me, since I'm not a big Gears, or Banjo, fan, and the RPGs lately have not been too hot.  Still, the 360 isn't going to get a whole load of crap for the next year either... I'm glad I own all 3.  I was worried about my Wii until the recent Nintendo annoucements -- it was seeming... extraneous.
