This price cut was much smaller then last one so how can it rise sales more then it did last time?

I´ll give an objective credit to MS and say that given all the effort they´ve been making, they deserve this decent success.

So the sales in UK will be then a bit more than 50k.

If anyone wants to sift through my posting history, I said the same exact thing when sales increased for PS3 after the 40 gig launched. Did you even read the article? If you don't believe Chart Track, you pretty much don't believe any official number from the UK. Keep in mind MS initiated an advertising blitz in Europe AFTER the price drop, so it's possible they succeeded in getting the message out to more people.

@ dianko: I think that shanbcn is implying that chart track has stated that the first weekend, the sales went up 32% and usually, the first weekend is the best weekend of such a sale, so if it went up 214% after all this time... he questions how that is possible.

There was a massive advertising campaign that started just after the first week of price cuts that show the new price of the Arcade. This price cut also came as something of a surprise, unlike the US price cut which was known fairly widely for over a month. The price cut itself was announced just a few days before it was dropped in Europe, so people may simply not have known.

But whether shanbcn believes the number or not is irrelevant. This comes from Chrat Track, so while it's surprising, it is official. And that's what I was initially arguing against, since he dismissed the number outright as MS BS.

This is only marketing.
