Because XBOX Live has nothing to do with it? Its the programming of the game that really has everything to do with how it works out online and Im impressed that Harmonix pulled it off on their first try.
Personally, so you know I dont fall into your 360 love fest, I wish I had bought Rock Band on the PS3 now. As that my 360 has been giving me problems hinting at RROD for a month now. I get to look forward to not having it during one of the best Holiday seasons and with Rock Band 2 sitting there, unplayed. But Im far too invested in DLC on the 360 for Rock Band now to abandon it and move to the PS3.
This does mean though that I will be buying all the games going multiplat on the PS3 this season, but thats off topic really. Congrats on liking Rock Band 2. Its awesome stuff.
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"
"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"
