Forums - General - well it looks like an agreement has been reached on the 700 billion bailout

@TheRealMafoo, yeah I've been embarrassed by the government for a long time. I like how this bailout is pissing every single American off. It's great how both of us can be embarrassed by the same thing, even with our almost exactly opposite views of the market.

@Kasz, I think Warren Buffet would be the perfect man for this job. He's a genius with money and is also not greedy at all and wants to give all his money to charity instead of his kids. He should just buy the whole government and fix it up. He's getting old, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did something crazy, like just dump all his money into health care when he dies, or buy clean water for the whole planet.

I wouldn't say that.  I'd just say his greed was not put in actual money but in seeing how well he can do.  After all there is no need to be as rich as he is... espiecially considering his modest lifestyle.

As he puts it... each dollar he collects is an uncashed claimcheck that could be put towards anything... he has way more then he needs and he can put them towards anything.

Though the question is... why does he continue to collect claim checks he himself admits he doesn't need?  Why does he sit on so much money for so long?
