According to the article, the release of five top tier games (Castle Crashers, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Galaga Legions, and Braid) brought in increase of 58 percent of unique members purchasing titles, leading to a record breaking month for revenue, up 67 percent from the previous record.

Guess lowering the price of the consoles is raising revenue for microsoft.

The price drop sure did help.

Microsoft needs to plan out another Live Arcade bonanza after seeing the success this brought. I would totally go for this again next Summer.

I don't see what this really has to do with the price drop though. It looks to me that good marketing and good word of mouth made this happen.

Live is an awesome service. I have been having a great time with all these recent title releases. Castle Crashers has been a blast, as well as Geo Wars 2, Bionic Commando, and Braid!
