Lionhead probably had some pressure from microsoft to get it out of the door. As-long as its added soon its no big issue. Local is all I want anyway.
Thats fine for me anyway, I wanted to establish my single player game before jumping online with friends. Similar story with LBP as well?

Consoles Owned: XBOX 360, Wii, DS and PSP.
They'd be forced to delay the game six weeks if that patch is supposed to come the same week the game gets released.
No biggie, those without online don't need the patch.

Well, here's hoping for a quick fix. It sucks that the game won't ship with this though, if it's gold, why not push it back a week or two?

It takes aprox. 4 weeks from gold status to release.
The update will take 2-4 weeks to be finished (that's how far we are from release week + accounting for patch clearing process).
It means if the tittle was to ship with that, it'd delay it anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks.

Sucks...it was going to be a big part of the experience, but no matter...Fable 2 looks to be very good a single player game. Would have been cool to have a buddy early on tho.
