I got a graphics card that almost smoked my entire computer. It was running at 90c

Wow, that sux, what card it was? That made me remember that some time ago when rearranging my case,

I forgot to put the CPU heatsink again... after some time of playing, I noticed the heatsink on the desk...

the CPU was at 110°C

It was a 5900Ultra I think. The GPU was defective. Performance it was on par with a GeForce2, but it threw NO artificats, and EVERYTHING worked perfect. It was really weird. I touched my computer with that card in it, and almost burnt my hand. I got a MSI 5900SP (OCed 5900 with extra memory) And it worked perfect. It was just a defective chip. I have a 8800GTS and it puts out about a quarter the heat, that defective card did. (I have a new case that disperses the heat MUCH better than my old case. I could put a 1500 watt heater in it, and likely not cook a chip.

I've still got my origional launch PS2, but it's on it's last legs. It dosen't play certain DVD's, it won't play most of my PS1 games any more, it dosen't recognize the hard drive (so I can't play ff11 on it anymore, but it still lets me back up my save files from memory cards...) and any PS2 game with the blue shiny back on them (Frequency, Virtua Fighter 4) will only work after 10-20 attempts. Oh and for some reason, I can link up 2 playstaion 2's to play Gran Turismo 3 but for some reason my system does not recgonize multisystem link for Gran Turismo 4.

Most of my friends have gone through 2 or 3 units already, and many of them are quite amazed that mine still works.

I try to take care of stuff the best I can, both of my origional launch X-Boxes still work, one perfectly the other has the occasional DDE with certain games (Forza, Sega GT 2002, Shenmue 2, HaMax Payne 2)

I'm still on my origional SNES, Genesis, Saturn, Playstation 1, Playstation 3, PSP, GBA, Game Gear, Game Boy, Game Boy Colour, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Gamecube and Colecovision.

Atari 2600 died back in 91'
NES died in 93'
Intellivision died in 97'
Neo Geo Pocket Colour Gold in 05'
Launch X-Box 360 died in August of 06 and the replacement in January of 07.

I do live with animals so hair and pet dander probably play a factor. And I was a youngin back in the early 80's so I probably treated the early systems like crap.
