You were just bragging last night that you were boycotting Capcom. This is a Capcom game, therefore if you are boycotting them you aren't buying this. So how on Earth is this an "attack" on you? Would Nintendo seem like the type to enforce online play in all of their games? For Strikers to have it and Sluggers not tells me that Nintendo doesn't hold it as a priority for Mario sports titles.

They don't have to enforce the use of online in all their games.........just the multiplayer ones, that have a short single player mode. They promoted the heck out of Sluggers during E3.......if it wasn't an important game, then it should have been left out.

If nintendo bothered to invest some decent technology in to their console and also include their usual ingenuity...aka motion controls... this would be different. Nintendo Wii supporters that are pissed for getting gimped versions of multiplat games can blame Nintendo.

crap, If I was a mod, I would ban everyone that says MotoGP doesn't matter or that no one cares about it. I'm really bummed they dropped online. Hopefully next year they will include it, then maybe I'll pick it up.

if ioi can ban over kimi, then I should be able to ban over MotoGP

There's tons of info in that page, you can check out the reviews for the 360 game from last year, that could help you out.

It has 2 modes, the Grand-Prix mode which is more of a sim style (Real pilots, real tracks, realistic handling and true racing elements).
And then there's the extreme mode which is more of an arcade game (More permissive controls, powersliding, fictional tracks in real life settings)

Careful it's a Gamespot review ;) But they do say this "But ultimately the single-player experience is designed to get you ready for the real meat of the game: online competition."

So cutting out the online modes is gimping the game seriously.

I'm not so sure I like the sound of that review. I'm after a realistic sim, but it sounds a bit arcadey with bad AI, but the review didn't really go indepth enough on this. Also, with '08 being the first installment on PS3 I'm concerned it might not be up to scratch.

I'll wait for some reviews of the PS3 version, but would like something to tide me over until Codemasters finish their F1 game. I'm a bit worried that Codemasters will just go for the lowest common denominator though and make it "accessible" with dodgy arcade style physics etc.

OT/ F1 qualifying starts soon, feeling a bit annoyed with myself that I didn't bother to pop down to Singapore for the weekend. Oh well, maybe next year.
