SEGA is probably not expecting Yakuza to become big in the West like it has in Japan for the obvious reasons. Also, I'm sure that SEGA will be happy enough with a niche audience for the series

i was referring to yakuza, and yakuza 3 its a ps3 exclusive.

you should try the Yakuza (or "Ryu ga Gotoku") franchise, for although you can see that it doesn't have the budget Shenmue had and hence is a bit rougher around the edges in some parts, the heavy influence of experiences the devs had with Shenmue is very recognizable
and ofcourse the games (or atleast part 2, which I picked up some days ago - never played the first one, but plan to) are very enjoyable ^^
