What's going on with Shenmue saga?It was supposed to be a trilogy!Looking back i cannot find many games that touched me so deep!Especially part 2,which was just one of the greatest games i ever played!Come on Sega,give us the third part of this amazing epic story!Does anyone else agree or everybody else has forgotten this amazing game?
When the Dreamcast died, the maker of Shenmue(forget his name) has made it extremely apparent on many occasions that they aren't going to make the 3rd game. He mainly blames it on the fact that the original team is no longer with them.
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
Shenmue 3 on Xbox360 would be the best day of my life.
Shenmue games are the best games you can find, never seen and felt something like this before.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
What happened was that:
1. Shenmue sold pretty good but was still a commercial faliure as productions costs were very high
2.Shenmue 2 sold even worse than the original and the original DC version wasn't released in the US
3.S2 was ported to the Xbox and flopped again due to the Dreamcast level graphics and for the slow paced nature of the game whereas Xbox owners preferred fast paced gameplay
4.A Chinese developer was given the rights to make Shenmue Online. However, the game's current status is in question will rumors that the game is cancelled.
A game better than Shenmue on the PS2 is called Yakuza. Its made by Sega. Go buy it.

well I've heard this before... So Shenmue I / II coming to the original Xbox was just a dream?

Ohhh, I see it now. I was wondering why every JRPG was a moneyhat on the part of Microsoft. Now I understand, its because they are based in japan.
It makes pathetic sense to me now.
@DirtyP: Your only encouraging them. Logic should only be spoken when quoting someone if the quoted uses logic as well.

yeah you are right. but it is so hard to let them talk trash. Actually I was listing some games to underline my argumentation, but I just changed my mind.

If Microsoft need to moneyhat to force Yu Suzuki to finish the saga, then so be it.
Sega re dead to me until it happens.
