Even though I expect the PS3 to win the WW holiday season, without a price cut your Q2 2009 prediction seems a bit stretched. However, if a significant price cut does happen between now and the holidays, there's the slightest possibility it could happen.
Even if it never happens though, I'll still enjoy my PS3 just the same :)
It's all about the game.
I expect the Wii to win this Christmas. Dunno why, maybe the fact it outsells the 360 and PS3 combined....
.... back to the HD console sales forecasts. I expect PS3 to do better than 360, will be close though unless Sony cut the price of the PS3.
I am largely platform agnostic. I fail to understand why some people get overly fanboyish about what is an inanimate piece of electronics that's obsolete even before it's launched, when there are far more important things to champion, such as preventing environmental destruction or preventing millions of people dying unnecessarily from illnesses. This fact however, doesn’t mean I am not someone who doesn’t enjoy gaming as a pastime (as I have done for the last 20 years) or doesn’t have a strong interest in how the market is evolving – hence my presence on this site.
