$100 price cut is highly unlikely. But a $50 price cut on PS3 is reasonable to help boost PS3 hardware sales so it can draw closer to the Nintendo wii weekly sales figures.

The price cut is more likely to be in November just like last season and take advantage of the Xmas sales period.

 If anything it was the Wii that made me do it since i recently got one.

With them announcing bundles at certain price points, I doubt they would then drop the price 100$ since that would harm the bundles.

50$ seems much too, especially in October. I can't see them dropping the price before November (if at all this year)
