you gotta admit, bioshock platinium was hard, right?

I wouldn't say it was ridiculously hard.  Again, I played before (easy mode on PC) so this time I followed a walkthrough for the Audio Diaries and stuff.  If you are pretty thorough with collecting items, you should have plenty of ammo and junk for the major issues.  The first 5 or so big daddies are a huge pain in the ass, but later on as you get more equipment and tonics, they get a lot easier: ie. early on you pretty much have to take down a big daddy with electrobolt, and a shotgun, whereas later you can do things like set up a bunch of trap bolts, launch some grenades at him to draw him through the trapbolts and into the range of a rocket launcher turret, and then freeze him with electric gel as the rocket launcher blows him to hell.

Basically it comes down to saving a lot, and reloading a lot when you die.  You also have to be frugal with spending your Adam, otherwise you can't get all the tonics.

Yea I Choose The Impossible was really hard. I bet jboy cant earn it :P

i bet a could if i got into the game...

I watched my friend play it on the hardest difficulty and it didnt look that hard really... he said cod waw was harder for him

The save system makes Bioshock quite easy, the fact it lets you save at any moment means you could in theory inch through a fight and save every 10 seconds, providing the battle is going good for it, if it goes wrong, load 10s ago.

You have to have a good shot and manage ammo/eve well, but that is pretty much it.

Hell, I'm not even that good of a shot, and I managed :)

If you check dates you see they are not pre-release testers.

Theory dead.

Right, but I was speaking about pre-release more in the context of the people that jump up high on the leaderboards on release dates.  It's still possible that there are people that are paid to play/test games after release for quality control purposes.  It's possible the trophy system for some or all games might not be activated until release date anyway.  So you can't say for certain that the people with a ton of platinums aren't getting paid for it.

I just started Alone in the Dark... controls are quite complicated but its not too bad... Depends on how much i complete today but if i'm not mistaken i could actually plat this by tomorrow's update

Congratz Dirtybynature to 20 plats.

Ok did anyone else have any glitching problems in Alone in the Dark while driving?
Like I'll be driving and nothing be in the road and my car with just stop randomly as if i were to hit something....

Yes! I just got one of, if not the most, difficult platinum medals in Prototype (Corners). The target is 1:45:0 and I pulled it out at 1:44:9. Only took an hour, too.

Trophies work before release day.

Online testing is done on private servers seperate to the ones we use, ever tried to play a game you got before release?  The servers are still offline.

You can test a game on private servers until the cows come home, but that's not going to find all your bugs.  If that were the case, you'd never see patches for games.  They need people testing the game with the public to help catch problems.

dont tell me you didnt died million times when you fought against 1st,2nd and 3rd big daddy on survivior difficulty

I died a lot on the first and the second

After that it was relatively easy.

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
