thanks for the update!

Didn't expect to be busiest member this week, and already at 20 points for next week.

I had the hardest time with QTE in my life today had to do the end of God of war 2 over 50 times. I just wasn't doing it had to quit and come back then got it on the second try.

It's not the only game in that category.
Basically old games that were time sinks got high rating but the last 2 years or people voting on ps3trophies.org changed the way they vote and now time sinks get low rating.

Madden 13 got 3 stars and it's a crazy time sink too. ( 2.57% of the ppl that played Defiance on psnprofiles got the plat, 0.41% of those playing Madden 13 got the plat)



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

Ugh, too bad. My busiest members streak comes to an end. Those Mirror's Edge speed runs took longer than I thought they would. Got the plat now though. I've gone back and started practicing some of the time trials again. I think I might try to go for the 90 star trophy. That would probably be one of my proudest gold trophies if I managed to pull it off. Been playing Beyond Two Souls as well. God this game is creepy and unnerving.

Beyond Two Souls was pretty creepy at times. Overall it's some of the finest acting in a videogame that I've ever seen. Ellen Page did a fantastic job and some of the emotion on the characters face was truly impressive for this generation.

Sort of interested to see the other paths, but I usually prefer my original choices in games like this and Heavy Rain.
Wish you could skip the cutscenes to save time on my next playthroughs as I'll have to play nearly two full playthroughs since I didn't save everyone the first time. Even killed off one character intentionally.

You can start from a previous chapter and have all the previous chapters progress remain in tact like it Heavy Rain, but you'll have to complete the game from that point on.

For someone looking to save on an extra full playthrough you could start by playing with 2 controllers as that is one of the trophies.

Seriously, that game is pretty much all I've been playing on PS3 since the end of July (aside from some GTA, but since GTA release still played 50/50 split with Defiance).  The time estimate on PS3T is from near release when servers had lots more people.

Just gonna copy/paste something I posted about 6 weeks ago in this thread.

That 250+ hours was on release when the servers were populated.  They really dead now so starting PVP which is directly needed for some trophies, and indirectly needed for others takes FOREVER.

To put into perspective, I've been playing it every day almost for over a month now.  One trophy is to win 10 matches on the Freight Yard map.  My counter says I have -played- 6 matches in total, do not think won them all.  It takes 24 people to start a match, I try constantly, I get put in queue and most days is says needed 21-23 more people, meaning most days is just me trying to play it, or 2 other people at best.

So somehow I've got to play this map and win on it 10 times.  Oh and those 6 are before the last patch which made a similar game mode that needed 32 people to start only need 8, so anyone who liked the Freight Yard map now plays the 8 needed to start mode.

That is one trophy.  I also need 2500+ EGO, you get EGO by completing tasks/pursuits, well I've done all the tasks in the game including all the PVP ones, except for ones that require I play on Freight Yard.  I need to keep playing the map to complete tasks, assuming I could even play the map getting the tasks isn't a simple thing and would need many matches.

The alternative to getting those PVP pursuits is raising all my weapons weapon level, well I've maxed all the easy ones already so all I got left are the hard to level up ones, and it takes hours to level them up even once, when I do level them up, I get a very very small EGO increase.  So without the Freight Yard PVP which would need as a guess, 10+ hours of in-match time (which would be even longer with matchmaking), I'm looking at god knows how hours more for the weapons instead, maybe don't need them all so maybe a bit less.

Another trophy, for getting reputation with vendors requires for one of them to do PVP tasks, you get daily contracts that award +10 rep, and weekly contracts that reward +50 rep, well when one of these states Capture and Hold (Freight Yard map) or Freight Yard directly itself, pretty much a failed contract because just cannot get the matches started, let alone do what the contract wants.  You need 600 rep so it is something that will take if you did every daily and every weekly contract a bare minimum 5 weeks (of playing every single day!).  But since Freight Yard causes contracts to fail, you can extend that timespan to a lot lot more.

250 hours isn't anywhere close to the time needed.  Is a lot more.

 

Change of rating please!  Or alternatively nerf the rating of every time-sink game.

I'll fix the rating.

I take the rating from ps3trophies.org as a default. I don't do any further checking to see how long it takes to earn the platinum for the game. I rely on you guys to point this out, like you've done here.

I'm on my second playthrough at the moment - playing duo mode with my wife. I'm playing as Aiden and being extra destructive for the Uncontrollable trophy, and I get scolded by both women, in and out of the game haha...

Gotta say, the writing takes a nosedive in some of those later chapters. But overall there are many interesting moments, though I prefer the quieter ones than the action sequences. And yeah, the quality of Jodie as a character is excellent.
