Then after it deletes progress and saves the deletion I notice chapter select is gone. What sort of dickhead makes a new game+ and removes chapter select? Didn't think to warn me about that?

Oh but the best bit is after all this, when you start the game on new game+ you get the message "New Game+ disables trophies".

Thanks Santa Monica Studios, that really wouldn't have been useful in the warning before I enabled new game+. Useless cocks.

What trophies did you missed? Coz anyway you will have to do a run on hard, so just pick those then.  But I have to agree that the chapter select system and NG+ are odd.

I swear it mentioned that playing NG+ wouldn't let you earn trophies, but it's been a while since I've gone through Ascension and I can't recall whether it says that or not. If you did the first playthrough on Hard, then mopping up the rest of the trophies on Easy should be a cakewalk. I know I had to go through on Easy for like 1-2 trophies and it only took me around 4-5 hours to get to the end of the game.

Most are hidden, not looked them up, I got all collectables and upgrades.

Of the not hidden, do the slide with no deaths, I guess no difference on hard.  Survive the fire screw with no burns though will be much harder to do on Hard.

If you have all collectibles and upgrades you're fine. Just check a guide while doing Hard playthrough and everything will be good. I went to the platinum in 1 playthrough and I did fine except that I got my ass kicked in the first third of the game.  Won't be a problem for you, knowing what is coming.

Don't worry, everything's easy. I'm very mediocre at this genre, but went through them fairly fine. The fire screw bit - just stand away from the fire and block, then roll away if the elevator rotates you near fire. All the little enemies' attacks are blockable. Then when you get to the top, there will be no more fire. Simply defeat the foes and that's it. I did it in first try.

The slide took me two tries. It's just annoying coz you have to quit and start from the beginning of the chapter if you die (otherwise it won't count).

Probably the most challenging trophies in Mortal Kombat are the tower ones and completing arcade mode on the hardest difficulty without continuing. Otherwise, the platinum is just very, very time consuming.
