I'm not sure Madden 13 is the best way to test the theory of playing easier games first. That can easily be a function of "jesus h christ this game comes out every year, I'm not going to play it every year." Compare to a game that doesn't have yearly iterations.

I took a look at trophy advisor, and the highest platinum it gives me was 31.07%. I can honestly say I wouldn't feel like going back to grab the vast majority of plats in that list though.

I am kinda inclined to go through and get some of the easier trophies the advisor lists overall... maybe get it down below 50% at the top or something.

Madden trophies used to be easy, they aren't in 13..

If/When I get Madden 13 plat it will become my rarest plat  by far with 0.29% of the owners having it...

Only annoying thing with the stats is that they are all wrong for DLC trophies.

Most DLC trophies are ultra rare because the site assumes everyone that has the game has purchased the DLC.

About half of my 127  ultra rare trophies on that site are actually DLC trophies.. And my rarest trophie is a Skyrim DLC trophy because it just came out yesterday...

Otherwise my completion rate is up to 82.95% and I have 946 unearned trophies... ( 25 more than yesterday as they have added all 25 skyrim dlc trophies even if only 1 dlc has been released so far..)

My rarest unearned plat is NBA2k10 with 0.01% of the players having it...( 3 out of 29452, pretty sure the trophy only those 3 have is bugged and impossible to get..). The second rarest is Madden 13 with 0.29% and I am still working on that..

See, just because the trophies are harder does not necessarilly mean fewer people are playing it for that reason.

Looking at the NHL series of games, there's a similar drop off in user base from 12 to 13, but a larger percentage of trophies has been earned in 13.  Same goes for NBA 2K.  The number of players may easily be more of a factor of consumer habits than trophy difficulty.

That's not to say you're wrong... I'm just saying it's hard to test your theory with something like this.

My two rarest platinums are for ModNation Racers (1.94%) and Clash of the Titans (2.00%), with a total of 12 platinums under 5% (including the two above).

I can see ModNation Racers, considering it is one of the biggest grinds I've had in a game (next to something like WKC), but Clash of the Titans isn't that hard and it's not that bad of a game.

My most common trophy is Sucker Punched! on Sly Cooper at 100.09% common... lolwut?

And I have 5 plats under 5% (NBA Jam, Buzz Quiz World, Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero 5, and NBA 09), with Prototype sitting at 5.07%.

Well I just bought the digital version of Ni No Kuni..

Finished Spec Ops: The Line. It's an important game in the military shooter genre - a mature step forward in gaming. Someone even wrote a whole book analysing it. Glad to have played this game. Was quite challenging on the FUBAR difficulty too.

Now just taking it easy playing Ni No Kuni with my wife. Main character's so dumb though, stupid little boy... But it's all for tutorial purposes. Too much hand-holding for those familiar with RPGs. The environment and details are well-crafted though, and I look forward to when battles actually require strategies (right now it's pretty much press 'X' to win).
