Just finished Mass Effect 2, fantastic game and looking forward to the arrival DLC coming soon to play more, Need to play it through once more as well just to get the Insane difficulty trophy and Paramour, but think ill leave it for a while, you can have too much of a good thing.

Should have played it on Insanity first. It makes the game that much better.

So an interesting idea I had the other night:

If we want to make the platinum leaderboard into more of a game, we could do something like give bonus points to people that have the only platinum for a certain game (like I have the only platinum for GH5, and someone has the only platinum for GT5, etc).  That would give other people, especially those who want to compete in the rankings, more incentive to get a plat in those games to eliminate the other people's 'bonus.'

Just a thought.  Might make things fun and put a nice twist on things.

That's a pretty interesting idea. If I remember right you were the only one to platinum Guitar Hero 5? Would you award more bonus points for a harder plat?

Main con though that I can see from this would be its giving incentive to play the really bad games that nobody would play otherwise just for platinum and "bonus" points. I'm not going to go there myself. No Hanna Montana's for me.

Dead Nation plat  Will put me 1 point above Ail next week. haha. We keep going back and forth every other week.

Also started playing Crysis 2. Only tried the multiplayer so far but I am really enjoying it. It's very fun to switch between stealth, and armor on the fly. Each ability drains your energy when you wear it for too long including sprinting in the default state. The key is managing your energy and saving it for when you get into a fight. You'll did much faster with low energy. Had no problems connecting to matches either. So far no regrets buying Crysis... Level 50 trophy may take a while to reach, but the multiplayer is great and there are a ton of upgrades to unlock so I'm not complaining about that trophy.

Wow 62h. I don't think I've sunk that much time into a multiplayer PS3 game since COD4: Modern Warfare. Killzone 2 would probably be 2nd most on PS3. I just checked the Killzone 2 online leaderboards and even with going for the top 1% trophy, I "only" put 58 hours total into Killzone 2. And at least 40 hours of it was done in 1 week for top 1%.

I think the most ever that I sunk into an online multiplayer PC game would be close between Unreal Tournament and Counter-Strike in college. Easily over 100h in both. My freshmen year you could hear sound effects from either of those games blasting out of everyone's door in my hall at nearly all times of day. One kid next door failed college and dropped out because all he did was play Counter-Strike. My favorite of the two was definitely Unreal Tournament though. Morpheus zero gravity deathmatch stage had the best level design for any map i've ever played. There's no online competitive FPS game these days that gives me quite the same rush as Unreal Tournament did back in 2001.  Man, I'm getting old. lol

I don't know that I'd give more bonus points for a harder plat.  One would generally assume that this category would typically affect harder games anyway, so there probably wouldn't be much point.

And I too thought of the Hannah Montana point, but wrote it off when I saw 5 people (I mean, suckers) had it already.  Maybe the bonus would be high enough to warrant somebody putting in some effort to counter it.  You would think if one sucker finds a really lame game to plat because it's easy, someone else out of this entire league would be willing to do it to, if only to kill the bonus :P

Obviously, I sunk a LOT of hours into White Knight Chronicles' online mode (I probably had 35-40 hours on the story mode), so that means I probably had around 465 hours on the online portion.

The most time I've spent on an online game across all platforms? Definitely Everquest for the PS2, as I played that nearly everyday for a total of like 4 years, meaning I probably put like 3-4000 hours into that game alone.

Heh, I wouldn't mind it, considering there are 7 games where only I have the plat :P

I have over 5000 hours in Everquest PC( the first year I played EQ I clocked 120 days meaning 33% of the time during that year I was playing EQ)  and probably around the same amount of time in WoW( over a longer period though).

Add around 2500 hours in Dark Age of Camelot and 2000 hours in Star Wars Galaxy and you can see I have been busy over the last 12 years.....(add the 500 hours or so of ShadowBane and you get close to 15 000 hours playing MMORPG over a period of roughly 11 years, I finally stopped in October 2009).

Funny thing is despite that amount of time I never really was a celibrity on EQ or Wow.

I did reach that status in DaoC and SWG ( I used to find a lot of stuff about Aildiin in Google but seems most DaoC message boards were taken down in the last year).

Yeah, I wasn't much of a celebrity in EQOA (Everquest Online Adventures is the name of the PS2 one), since I played on one of the lesser known servers (there were only 6 servers). I did have a fairly large group of friends, though, since I used to have them always asking me to help/group with them. I did have A LOT of fun with my Enchanter on EQOA, although I went down the lesser of the two paths for them.
