Curious... Why is a 5/10 not a 3/5? I'd imagine the mapping would be something like

0-2: *
2-4: **
4-6: ***
6-8: ****
8-10: *****

Is there some sort of adjustment from the ps3t ratings?

You need take into account on PS3T  you get people say things like "This game was easy as hell, platted it in 10 hours, I give it 3 stars".

 

There would never be any 1 star platinum games.  Look at Alone in the Dark Inferno for example, very easy game to plat but even that has a 2.80 average.

 

True, some people there are plain dumb. Look at Ngs2 9 people voted 1 for it, then again 270 voted a 10.

As KylieDog has pointed out, even the easiest of games will tend to have an average of 2 or 3. You won't find many games with an average below 2.

As for me, Im playing Bad Company 2 all the time, lol.

Im even playing the campaign but still mostly the multiplayer.

Don't have any plats I'm close to right now. Just going to be playing NFS: Hot Pursuit, Dead Nation, and Fallout: New Vegas which are the only games left in my backlog. Traded in Dead Space 2 so I won't be going for Extraction platinum. Didn't really like Extraction, not a fan of on rails shooters.

Also you're right, I haven't played GT5 so I have no idea how hard a racing game can be!

Spam on this site seems to be getting worse. It constantly shows up in the news articles and in many of the threads. I've seen it a number of times in this thread too.
