Wow, congrats man! Another 5-star game.  How many hours did it take?

And now that you're finally done with GT-5, what's next?

Forever.

To give you an idea there are 2 24 hours endurance races... which you have to win both in A-Spec and B-spec...

Just winning once every endurance race in A-Spec is 80 hours or so, add the same in B-spec and you have to do those multiple times to level, even after the patch that boosted xp .

And that's not even counting the fact that you can spend 20 hours trying to beat a 2 minute special event race..

I would say we're speaking of over 300 hours for A-spec and probably the same amount for B-spec but most of the B-spec stuff can be done at night or when you are at work, just leave your PS3 running..

Of course the time taking to beat A-Spec is going to vary a lot depending on the players as some will take 30 minutes to beat a specific event and others will take 20 hours...( and some will probably never gold some of the X1 events...)

@chenguo -Congratz on plat.

Thisgame seems a bitch to plat.

As for me, playing AC Brotherhood. Very good game. Has its flaws (specially in the storytelling department) but still overal is great.

Also, renovating buildin, improving your assassins is addictive, lol.

Killzone 3 platinum!  Ail, looks like I will pass you back!

Elite mode was pretty easy this time. I would say I died less than 20 times the whole game and the checkpoints are pretty forgiving so it wasn't frustrating at all. Also your squad mates can now revive you so that really helps. They can revive you up to 3 times per checkpoint before you've taken too much damage to be revived again.

Online trophies were also a breeze compared to Killzone 2. I'm happy I didn't have to spend over 40 hours in a week to get into the top 1% again for a trophy.

Congratz. I´m really dissapointed, i mean why did they make Elite easier. Was bad enough with all easy online trophies but making Elite easier is crossing the line. Really shame they had to listen to all whiners.

Why do people think KZ2 Elite was hard?  Please explain this to me?

You can sprint through most of it, the final battle is easily done usng te knife and then hiding to the left whe rockets come...you cannot be hit there but can stand on a ledge and poke your head up for shots.

Well comparing it to KZ3. U died alot faster, the enemies were alot more agreessive, your teammates didn´t revive, well not this much anyway and the last level was pain with infinite respawn. This is my experience. On the other hand i thought Elite was the only difficulty.

thought i was going to have KZ3 plat for the update but isnt going to happen all i have left is

co-op trophies

the trophy to not get detected in the jungle

the one with the mawlr

and elite (currently at the end of chapter 6 on elite, pretty easy so far, about the same as uncharted 2 on crushing, maybe easier)

Thanks everyone! Very proud of my first 5 star plat!

Ail's estimate of 300 hours for a-spec events sounds about right, though depending on how good you are this will vary wildly.

For B-spec, a rough estimate might be 25 hours. You have to be present for half the races, more at lower levels, but thankfully never for endurance races. So while my PS3's done well over 400 hours of bspec (for a long stretch, 9 hour endurance race per night), I've only been present for 25.

Then there's buying cars... You can just buy the cheapest $5000 kart over and over, but I actually built a collection of 1 of each car in the game (still missing 4-5). Very rough guess: grinding for money refreshing the used car dealership maybe took 40 hours, /- 10.

As for what's next... I've got Ferrari Challenge coming in the mail (almost got NFS: Shift, but Shift 2 is coming out soon). Then MLB the Show 11 and Yakuza 4. Also might finish Vanquish at some point.

Anyone else getting MLB the Show 11 btw? I'd love to play online more, which is like the one thing I didn't do too much of in MLB the Show 09.

Well, looks like I'm going to keep falling in the ranks.

Not much time to play anymore and I'm stuck on some loooooong trophies (get to level 50 on AC:Bro MP, C to shining C on SSF IV). Maybe once those are done I can get to the single player stuff and my LBP trophies. Until that time though, I'll probably be on the bottom of the league :(

Stupid jobs, girlfriends, social life and desire to sleep

Yeah but when your PS3 is doing those 24 hours endurance races for B-Spec you can't use it to play other games...( I don't mind 9h but it would be better if the longest endurance race was like 15h ..)

Ferrari Challenge is quite easy for the most part, except for like 2-3 of the specific car tourneys, and getting through the longer overall tournaments. Like I said to my cousin, it's quite a challenge sometimes to get into 1st place, but it's not that bad to keep yourself in 1st place once obtained. It was quite a grind and I was getting bored of it quite a bit towards the end of the platinum.

Yeah I really wish I did more research on it. Since ordering it I've read the same thing... And "grind" and "bored" are scary words coming from a person who platted White Knight Chronicles.
