god damn cod classic is fucking me off!!! im at pavlov's house and have the two tanks then 4 minutes of holding the house before help arrives. my problem is the game isnt saving when i no iv made a checkpoint :(
its done it a few times but wasnt a real problem but having to do the above then clear the last germans is a matter of blind luck. i want my save which i no happens at 2 minutes left out of the four :(

@getrdone whats the best level again and is that the wooden towers with the machine gun emplacement?

I went to longsword and am about level 45 right now. Once I hit 50, I don't know if I'll stick with it for a bit to play some quests online or if I'll just rebirth again to some other class (I know I will save and rebirth to get the 8 skills trophy).

It wasn't that I had low HP and defense (around 570 HP and 210 defense at level 50 as a mage), it's just that after playing with a shortsword/shield combo and being able to take so many hits, it was hard to not be able to even take too many hits. I might go with a bow/divine build to see what that's about (bows seem a lot easier to bind than both kinds of swords, since you need to upgrade swords).

My first char was a pally ;)

Max sword and divine, durable but would take forever to kill stuff..

I might go back to it at some time in the future, I dunno yet....

Durability depends a lot what you are facing too. Some of the bosses are heavy magic users and on those mages actually take a lot less damage...

Right now I like nuking stuff for 750-780 dmg a pop while the melee next to me is hitting for 250 :p

As a dpser I don't really like longsword/axes otherwise. If you really want to do damage it seems to me it's either bow or mage...

PS : Mage staves seem to be relatively easy to bind at higher levels too.. ( GR 9 Demon staff is just Crystal Rod +9 and some devil drops..) 

PS2 : I just checked though and both Gr10 bows are easy recipes too..

Don't get me wrong it has potiential but for me its just not quite up to par for i guess my picky standards :P

But i do see how some can have a blast with it if it's there cup of tea but atleast your enjoying it so have fun

And i guess i should also put my 2cents in on the whole plat rating fiasco and i feel there damn close to where most should be and as others have said there will always be different oppinions how where there plat rating should fall under

So all in all i vote for not changing anything but what ever our great pal who runs the league decides Im with him

Its the metal towers.  The best map is Isla Inocentes, which has 3 towers at the end.  If you are playing COD Classic on veteran and have low health, you will not get a checkpoint. 

@mattbfg - A couple of tips on Pavlov House. When you get to the 4 mins left. Go to the back and to the left of the floor where you destroyed the 2nd tank. There will be a room that has almost no floor on it. Jump to the other side of the room, go prone and keep aiming at the door. Technicallly, enemies could also come from the porch there, but I played the level 3 times and everytime the enemy would just stand there.

When the 4 min are up, just wait for your friends to kill all the enemies. More of them will come to attack you, so just be careful not to reload at the wrong time. Also, there is a chance that the guy at the porch will actually try to kill you, so be aware.

And about the checkpoint, it wont save if you have less than 50% health.
