Thanks, marciosmg. I'm already well acquainted with that website! I had so many question after playing it for the first few hours. That site helped explain a lot of things that I probably wouldn't have understood until many more hours into the game.

Not sure yet if I'm going to plat Demon's Souls. There are so many other games to play, and so little free time to play them all.

Is the second playthrough really that much harder?

o yeah, its the hardest playthrough, then it just gets easier and easier, but overall its just an amazing game, yeah it does take alot of time so i wouldnt really advise it with all these other amazing games coming out lately, but still, its DS is prolly my 09 goty *below uncharted 2 ofcourse

Yeah that game really slowed me down with tropies as well.  Now though it's more the end game trophies I'm working on.  Only have 6 of the 14 weapons trophies and having a hard time getting some of the stones I need, since I still have at least another play through and a half I'm not that conserned though. 

I haven't spent much time yet reading up on those weapon trophies and what it takes to fully upgrade a weapon of each type. My understanding is that there are two generic upgrade paths: one using the Sharpstones, and one using Hardstones. Each time you upgrade with either of these stones, your weapon gets a +1, and will max out at +10. But there are other stones as well, like Clearstones for example. How does upgrading with these work? Do you have to upgrade a weapon to a certain level using the sharpstones and hardstones before branching out to these specific upgrade paths? If so, what't the difference between using sharpstones and hardstones as the base?

Some other types can also be started when the weapon is plane most start at +3 but even then I think are are others after all beside sharp and hard there are 12 other types!  I had to look at the demon's souls wiki when it came to the weapons because I wasn't sure what weapons I could use for certain types and what level it had to be.  Turned out for two of the 12 once I got it started I already had all the stones to finish.  Thankfully only shap and hardstone go all the way up to 10 the rest only up to 5.  I've got 5 more types that are at level 4 so getting close to finishing them.  Don't worry though once you get going with the game you'll find some trophies are faster than others.  Dragon God after Flamlurker is a one example.  Not only is it easier to get to the Dragon God once you've taken out Flamelurker but he's easier to kill as well and a silver instead of a bronze!  Go figure.

Yes the second is WAY harder so before finishing the first time through take care of as much as you can.  After that though each playthrough doesn't increase the difficulty by as much as it does from the 1st to the 2nd.

@kyliedog iv been switching from offline to online with it, trying to win squad deathmatch was stressing me out lol
made worthwhile when a helicopter landed in front of me whilst i was on the rocket turrent so one awkward trophy down :)

@hideok i eat dog tags for breakfast lol though only 17 so far but nothing more fun then pulling the knife from another victims head. we will end up circling each other in a stand off seeing who will bottle it for the pistol lol and as we draw some smart ass will crash a helicopter on us hahahaha

Not sure what you are trying to say with that first sentence there... but yeah, I could tell it was going to be bad even before the demo.  All anybody could talk about was the graphics, and even that didn't impress me.  I some some pretty cutscenes but the actual gameplay graphics looked bland.

I'm sure the game has a great story though, it's just too bad the gameplay doesn't make me want to experience the story.

This is where the first sentence came from. I wasn't attackin u if u thought i was. I was just wondering why you didn't like it
