I'll probably watch Code Geass next. I saw the first episode and it was cool, especially at the end.

Yes! Wach it NOW!! Plus the series ends this sunday so you wont have to wait. The best anime ever!
It runs circles around DN and Lelouch would kick Lights ass any day.

What! Light was my favorite character! I was rooting for him the whole time and I was sad that he died in the end. The best parts were the duel between Light and L, but it was still alright at the end. The slowest part was during the story arc involving that corporation. I've only seen a few episodes of the aniime, but I have all of the Japanese comics.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Edit: Nah, Code Geass is just dumb...

I liked Good Light... it made me sad when he turned back evil... I think he's a Death God now though

I hated misa misa.

She was obviously a plot device to make the series longer. If she wasn't there, it probably would have ended a lot sooner.

At the end of the L arc, L pretty much had Kira pinned down. Misa and the stupid shinigami rule was the loophole the author used to get Kira out of that situation.

I still watched, (and then read) the second season, but it was nowhere as good as the first season.

The "corrupt CEO" story arc was a little stupid too.

The problem of the second arc was that the first arc was too good.

It's human nature to become corrupt when too much power is given. You think you hated Light? You will be like him, too, or worse, if you were given such power.

If you think the end justifies the means, regardless of situation. Then, you are just like Light.

Light failed only because he thought he was invincible, IMO.

Hah my girlfriend had the same reaction at those points.

I found it enjoyable.

The only thing I didn't understand was L's death.

It could of been excuted better.

L had to know that his move would of killed him.

Well that and one inconsistancy light had.  Claiming he'd never use a woman.... but then giving in and doing just that shortly after he got back the deathnote.

Yet L oddly didn't notice this wide switch in behavior.

L knew... but a itchy bit too late.

L was catching up and keeps getting closer and closer.

L wouldn't know a Death God would sacrifice itself to save a human. That's his error.

Yes, he knew he could die any moment.

As for Light. He had a power trip. He became less and less patient.

Since he started killing, life is no longer as important as it used to be. Drawing him closer and closer to use anything and everything to get what he wants.

well the second season was the other way around, I think.

Raito had Near pinned down pretty much and the Prosecutor guy served as the foil for Raito's downfall, much like Misa served as the device to kill L.
