i saw the first NDP sign in my town today. really sad that its taken them this long...i had actually wondered if they even had someone running. Conservative ones started popping up the day the election became official. liberals put up a few about a week after.

I think I have only seen a couple NDP signs in my life, that could be because the second someone puts a sign up for the NDP the police come to their house and put them on a bus to BC ...

Where do you guys live? I want to move there! My area is so dominated by the NDP that both Liberals and Conservatives have practically given up on it. To make matters worse, the two areas that surround me also have democrats representing us in parliment.

He obviously lives in Alberta.

Interesting trivia, aside from the territories which only have one seat, Alberta and Prince Edward Island are the only two provinces which are entirely represented by a single political party.

Of course for tiny PEI, this doesn't mean much, but for Alberta, it gives the province the pride of knowing that while having a large impact on the makeup of our government, they can still be taken for granted by their party, and ignored by the others.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

The citizens of Alberta are generally stuck between a rock and a hard-place when it comes to Canadian politics ...

All Albertans really want is for the Federal Government to run balanced budgets, to respect provincial jurisdiction, to focus on (and excel at) federal responsibilities, and to introduce checks and balances to the powers held by the parlement and prime minister. The only political party who even comes close to offering this is the Conservatives, for decades the Liberals and NDP run on introducing social programs which fall into provincial jurisdiction while completely ignoring the federal governments responsiblities; and neither the Liberals or NDP are willing to limit the dictatorial powers of the Prime Minister and to allow for a Tripple E Senate that acts as a balance to the parlement.
